Why Do I Mix Financial and Motivational Posts on Facebook?

A brave soul asked, “Jaycee, why do you mix spirituality, inspirational, and motivational thoughts and finance in your Facebook posts and articles?”

I cannot mix what’s already in-tact with spirituality. Everything is held together in the name of Jesus, by Jesus, for Jesus.

Respectfully, I’ll take this on a scientific level. Have you heard of laminin? It’s a cell adhesion molecule (CAM) that anchors cells to keep our body together. Laminin, that cell adhesion molecule, is in a shape of the cross of Jesus.

Colossians 1:17 says, “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

Is the presence of the cross-shaped molecule that’s responsible in holding our cells together to keep our body in-tact a coincidence? Maybe yes. Maybe not. But if Jesus is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together, do you have a better explanation than that?

Everyday, a soul or two land on my website for the search string “God help me”. Maybe I wrote an article or two that contained the phrase “God help me” that’s why they’re redirected to my website from Google. The first thing I thought of was, “Wait a minute, what’s God-ly with my posts on my website? If there’s any, perhaps they’re motivational articles but never God-ly.”

The truth is, too many people are already using Facebook to air their dirty laundry in public. Many are bold in posting what they’re against to but weak in posting what they are for.

Check your wall. I’m sure you’ll see at least one Facebook friend who is fond of posting hateful posts, rants, complaints as to why the sky is blue and why the sun is hot, and so on. That doesn’t put fire in the belly and springs under the feet of people who are feeling down.

You can use Facebook in two ways.
1st Way: Be good at posting your rants on Facebook because your communication and relationship with your family is so terrible, that you, eventually, feel better every time someone “Facebook like” your post.

2nd Way: Be good at posting motivational posts because you’re so rich in terms of your communication and relationship with your family. You can’t contain the joyful spirit in you that you are self-compelled to share it on Facebook.

If through my non-finance-related yet motivational posts, I could help people put their shoulders back and hold their head high, then, I could humbly say that I’ve lived a day well-spent.
