Let the phrase “grudges in my baggage” remain in poems. That’s where rhyming words usually belong. Seriously, keeping your grudges in your baggage hurts nobody but you.
When I was in elementary, I was bullied a lot. I was bullied physically and verbally. There was this bully whom I didn’t know if he went to school to study or to bully me. One time, my patience level was filled to the brim. I carried that hurt into my heart for such a long time. I think that’s when I developed my creative imagination for I was imagining how I was hanging that bully like the Hangaroo game in full HD colors.
Everyday, whenever I saw that bully in our class, I wanted to give him 3 hadoukens, 5 kamehameha waves, and 7 berserker barrage. As I was revengeful in my heart, I realized he was still happily having his recess everyday. He was coming in and going out of the school’s gate with a smile on his face. Little by little, my heart and mind were being poisoned by my revengeful spirit.
What’s my point?
The grudge in your heart hurts no one but you. So let go of the grudge in your baggage before you hit the sack tonight.
There are so many people who are already against you. Don’t be against yourself. God bless you.
