Brokers' Sentiment and Traders' Favorite Prices- MBT, MPI, MER, PIP, PHEN, PGOLD, TECH, IDC, MED, ALCO - September 30, 2019

You’re missing a lot if you think it doesn’t make sense to know the prevailing mood of the top 10 brokers toward a stock.

Why?

Knowing the top 10 brokers’ mood gives you a data-driven overview if the top 10 brokers still have the interest to push the price higher.

You’re causing unnecessary stress for yourself if you’re still using intraday charts.

Why?

Can you accurately spot the price range that got the biggest volume and the highest number of trades by staring at the intraday charts?

You won’t!

How did I know?

I tried.

You know me. I cheat whenever I write or give a seminar.

What do I mean about “I cheat?”

I only write and talk about stuff I already did.

Today, I will tell you the mood of the top 10 brokers and the dominant ranges for the following stocks:

  • Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company
  • Metro Pacific Investments Corporation
  • Manila Electric Company
  • Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc.
  • PHINMA Energy Corporation
  • Puregold Price Club, Inc.
  • Cirtek Holdings Philippines Corporation
  • Italpinas Development Corporation
  • MEDCO Holdings, Inc.
  • Arthaland Corporation

Why did I create my proprietary True Market Sentiment chart?

I am using my proprietary True Market Sentiment chart to identify the overall mood of the top 10 brokers.

I want you to understand that my True Market Sentiment chart is not a determiner of trend but sentiment.

I use this chart on several occasions. Here are some examples on how I use it depending on the situation.

Scenario 1

Let’s say the stock is still moving above your trailing stop loss. The Momentum Power Indicator is bullish.

You want to top up but you saw a huge Net Foreign Selling. Now you’re half-hearted to continue your plan to top up even though the Momentum Power Indicator is bullish just because you saw that the foreign fundies are bearish.

However, you saw that the True Market Sentiment is bullish. That means the majority of the top 10 brokers bought the dips.

That gives you the confidence to pursue your plan to top up then.

Scenario 2

Let’s say the stock is still trading above your trailing stop loss. However, the Momentum Power Indicator is bearish.

Now, you’re torn between pre-empting your trailing stop loss (selling even before it gets hit) and respecting it (sell only when the TSL gets hit).

But you see that the True Market Sentiment is bullish.

That may give you the confidence to hold your position because you see that the majority of the top 10 brokers are still interested in buying the dips.

Scenario 3

The stock is still trading above your trailing stop loss.

You see that the foreign investors registered a huge Net Foreign Buying.

Now, you’re asking yourself, “Does it make sense for me to top up (buy the dips) because the foreign investors are aggressively buying the dips EVEN IF the Momentum Power Indicator is bearish?”

But seeing that the True Market Sentiment is bearish, you decided not to pursue the plan to mimic what the foreign fundies are doing.

You realized that the foreign fundies can afford to buy the major dips because they have billions in their pocket.

You realized, “Why should I hurry in buying the dips when the majority of the top 10 brokers are not even showing signs of interest yet?”

Did You Get It?

These are not the only scenarios where I use my True Market Sentiment chart. If I will write every possible scenario, I am telling you that this article can be compiled into a literal book with at least 100 pages. Let’s keep it short for now.

When the TMS is bearish, it does not mean the price should also be bearish.
When the TMS is bullish, the price doesn’t have to be bullish.
The TMS chart is not a determiner of trend but sentiment.

If you will attend The Evergreen Strategy in Trading and Investing in the Philippine Stock Market seminar, I will discuss this in detail in Lesson # 3 of the seminar. I’ll teach you what I personally do from stock selection to buying to selling. It’s from point A to Z. I will teach you what you will not find on Google.

Lesson 1: how to identify the best stocks to trade
Lesson 2: how to check if the current trend is more likely to continue
Lesson 3: how to know the true market sentiment
Lesson 4: how to identify a confirmed buy signal
Lesson 5: how to identify the best price range to trade
Lesson 6: how to sell more logically and less emotionally

Why did I create my proprietary Trade-Volume Distribution chart?

  • It helps me identify reversals, divergences, or false breakouts.
  • It shows at a glance the prices that got the biggest volume with the highest number of trades.
  • It helps me see if the majority of the volume is registered near the intraday high, intraday low, or median. The price bar at the top of the chart represents the intraday high. The price bar at the bottom represents the intraday low.
  • It gives me a clue if cross trades happened at a certain price.
  • This chart helps me decide where we should place our buying or selling price because we can see the prices that got the biggest volume with the highest number of trades at a glance.

Attend The Evergreen Strategy in Trading and Investing in the Philippine Stock Market seminar so you can put me to the test. Ask me to check a stock on the spot and I’ll show you right where you are seated how my proprietary methods make trading and investing a calculable and rewarding experience. Come and see.

Without further ado, here’s the true market sentiment of these 10 stocks.
